The Saga of The Seven Suns

I have just finished reading a remarkable set of six books by Kevin J. Anderson.
The stories are comprised of humans and several other alien life forms. Two of the lifeforms are human and at least three of the others are totally different.
the timeframe is obviously well in our future. Light speed travel is commonplace. The story begins centering around the planet Earth and the government that governs a very large body of planets. Along the way you'll went into intelligent lifeforms that inhabit suns as well as the cold of space, and creatures that are not unlike insects.
this story also envelops many personalities as it shifts back and forth between worlds, and between battles in space. To try to do the entire story justice here would be impossible. But in short on the side of the humans are the world trees and the wentils. The wentils are pay water-based life form with great powers. The world trees are used as a medium of instantaneous mental telepathy across the universe. The trees also have their own natural defenses against the hydrogues and the faeros who are the creatures that inhabit suns.
this series encompasses a great deal of time and space, along with the interactions of peoples and their attempts to survive against powerful aliens. I most emphatically would recommend these books to anyone involved in reading science fiction
